{It's been almost 2 months}

So it’s been almost 2 months since I have blogged! I promised myself that I would be getting better at it but I have once again failed. Oh well!! Off to a fresh start.
We haven’t had much going on in our lives even though I constantly feel like we are busy!! September and October consisted of going to work and school and on the weekends going to Real Salt Lake games! We love going to them, Real has been doing really well this season and we are hoping they will be in the MLS cup again!!

School has been going well for both of us, we just ended fall break a couple weeks ago and although it wasn’t fun coming back to 3 midterms…. The break was much needed. Sleeping in is always a favorite thing with us Walkers!

At the beginning of October, Pierce had to run lacrosse try-outs for his girls’ high school team he will be now coaching. It was a tough week preparing and it really stressed Pierce out but all-in-all Pierce is really excited about all the talent on his Varsity team!! We will be starting conditioning in January…BRRR!

This last week was Pierce’s dad’s, Jeff, Birthday! We’ve been planning for months a surprise party with some of his close friends. We had to conjure up story after story, lie after lie, but it was ALL worth it! He had no idea and it was great to have Chelsea, Ava, Melisa, Locke and Cade come from Michigan and Washington for the event!

Friday night before the party, Cade and Melisa drove in with my little nephew Locke. The plan was to go up to Park City to stay with my dad so that we could stay under cover…But before we could do that, we HAD to go to my sister’s State Cup game for High School Soccer! They ended up winning 1-0 in DOUBLE overtime. I was a ball of nervous the whole game but the Bengals pulled it off. I think even Cade and Mel enjoyed themselves. Although my sister didn’t play because she has recently hurt her ankle, it is healing and she will be able to play club season coming up!

After the game we went up to Park City and ate pizza and watched a movie with my dad. It was great to see him and spend some time with him! We love staying in Park City and will have to try and visit him more often!

Saturday morning, we packed up our over-night stuff and headed to the Tanger Outlet Mall….we walked around until it started pouring and then Pierce and I headed back down to Sandy with Cade and Mel shortly behind us.

When we got back into Sandy, we did a crazy thing! So as you all know, we love our puppy Jack. One day, Jack came up to us and explained how BORED he was at home by himself some days and that he really NEEDED a friend. We kept ignoring him until we met this little lady:

Izzy! we got her from the same breeder as Jack and She is actually Jack’s sister! Both born May 3rd! We love little Izzy and it’s been so much fun having Jack run around with his little sister. She is white with light brown around the eyes and tail. She desperately needs a haircut so I will post pictures when she gets one!

I bought Izzy and Jack little matching sweatshirts in blue and pink. And we got Izzy a cute little pink collar with diamonds. Needless to say these puppies are spoiled!

Saturday night we headed down to the Lion House and set up for the party! The centerpieces looked amazing thanks to Melisa. Chase and Helen put together a slideshow and Chelsea’s hard work was through the secret invitations! The party was a hit and we filled all the tables :)

Here are a few pictures of the party:

Here is the programs that I did for the party, pretty snazzy if I do say so myself!

And my husband did a fabulous job as the "MC" for the night!

Sunday night we had Birthday dinner at Pierce’s parents’ house for Jeff. Gram and Pop (Jeff’s Parents) Aunt Michelle, Uncle Jory and Pierce’s cousins/friends Corbin and Nate all came as well! It was going to be a perfect evening UNTIL the lights went out at the house right before we were going to start eating! Needless to say, dinner by candle-light was a pretty fun way to have a 50th birthday celebration and I think Jeff got some great gifts!

Monday night, we had the annual Walker Pumpkin Carving Competition at Jeff and Liz’s house. The competition was fierce and tough but hey, I got 3rd place! (Thanks Travis!) Pierce did the Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas and totally shaved the pumpkin so it looked white like Jack does. It was awesome!! I did witch’s legs and added ribbon and glitter (Thanks Mel!). Mine didn’t light up but I am really happy with it!

Hope everyone has a great week!

{Jack here}

Hey everyone this is Jack! I have stolen mommy's laptop to update you on mommy, daddy and of course my life as of late (mainly mine)…. So summer is over and that means that mommy and daddy have started school; most days of the week, mommy takes me over to Grandma Cheri’s house to play with these two little friends:

Dodger and Oliver.

Boy they are lots of fun! Dodger (the other shih tzu) is a little afraid of me, because I am so tough but Oliver (cream doggie) will chase and play with me for hours. I always come home from their house and crash on the cold tile or hardwood in our house!

Other than that, I am still just being lovable, cuddly and hyper Jack!

Here are some fun pictures to admire of me :)
Me sleeping next to some shoes....they didn't even stink!
Mommy always said brushing your teeth was important- this would make her proud!
Although in this picture it doesn't show it, I LOVE taking baths and showers!

Chase and Helen have moved close to mommy and daddy so I have been to their house and let me tell you….(to mommy’s horror) I have left my mark in their place, if you know what I mean!! They just got a kitty and I haven’t met him yet, but I am sure it will be soon.

Ava and Chelsea and Travis left far away to Michigan, and although I miss Ava chasing me around- she has gotten new kitty friends to play with!

Locke, Cade and Mel also got a new puppy up in Washington! Maybe during Christmas time I can meet Marla!

Here are some of my puppy pictures of when mommy and daddy just bought me and I was small—man have I grown up and just keep getting bigger! Aren’t I the cutest thing ever!?!

Hope you all have a good week!

{Bengals and Birthdays}

So I decided that I would do some shout outs to some very important people in my life….first goes to my little sister Bree! She is the most talented girl I know and recently made Brighton High School’s soccer team as a freshman. Bree was really nervous since she took a year break from soccer but she obviously still has it….she scored the very first goal of the season for her team! The Bengals are off to a great start and I can’t wait to keep cheering her on in this exciting thing! Here are just some goofy pictures she took with her friends and then here is an action shot that my cousin got of her a few years ago since I don’t have any with her Brighton gear on. Gooooo Bengals!

Next up is birthday shout outs!

First goes to my incredible dad whose birthday was on August 25th! This year he turned 50, I can’t even believe it. He was on a business trip in Denver on the day but we celebrated on Sunday at my grandparent’s house and my grandma made all his favorites—really good :) We gave him a BYU lawn chair for his birthday so he can sit in them while at soccer games for Bree and Anthony! Here are some things that I love about my dad:
1. He is funny…although at times, we are laughing AT him and not necessarily WITH him, he is still pretty funny.
2. He is stylish and in a band-- I think that’s pretty cool to say that my dad is a guitar player in a band…even if it is with some older folks ;)
3. Hard working- my dad really is a hard worker…when I was little I remember him running a company, and doing taxes on the side to earn some extra money and I think that is a great talent to have.
4. Easy to talk to – it’s sometimes scary having to talk to Dads about certain things growing up, but no matter how scared I was to talk to him about things, he was always funny and understanding and gives great advice!

Happy 50th Daddy! We love you :)

Next, is my beautiful mother! Her birthday is this Friday and she is turning….well she is still young and kicking. I love my mom, she is such a great friend to me and here are some things I love about her:

1. She is a “cool mom” – when I was in middle and high school, all my friends always wanted to hang out or sleep over at my house just because my mom was one of the moms who all my friends could talk to and relate with and she was never judgmental. She loves shopping and is very in style and I know that a lot of my friends probably couldn’t say that about their moms! I always want to borrow shirts or jewelry from my mom so I think this for sure makes her a cool mom.
2. She is crafty—my mom can sew, scrapbook and that is something that I admire. I really love how giving she is of her talents and will always make Halloween costumes or make a wedding album. She puts a lot of time and effort into her hobbies and I love that!
3. She is a great friend – she is always texting, going to lunches with friends, going on vacations or just planning a good old game night with friends! I know that all her friends love her company because she is a really outgoing and fun person to hang out with. I can say that I enjoy doing all of the above with my mom; she is one of my best friends!

4.She is giving—sometimes a little too giving…instead of selling something or needing something for herself, my mom would just give it away to deserving people and then pay for it or go buy another one. I tease her about this at times, but it is a good quality to have.

Mom, I love you and wish you a happy birthday and many more to come!

{My Husband}

So because Pierce did a post about me and I think he deserves one a lot more than I do here are 5 of the reasons I love Pierce so much!

1. Hard Working

I've never and I mean NEVER met someone as hard working as Pierce. From coaching Lacrosse to schooling, to building a barn, even helping my mom move for 11 hours, this man does not know the word failure. He strives to be the best he can be and is not afraid of any challenges which I admire a lot. He is one of the most talented and diverse people I know.

2. Funny

I think anyone who has met Pierce can atest to 2 things: 1. He is funny, a little over the line sometimes but funny and 2. He makes everyone he knows comfortable around him. His humor is funnier than funny and I can honestly say that I've never smiled or laugh as hard as I do when I am with him!

3. Smart

Not only is Pierce hard working, he has a natural intelligence that I find very attractive. He always talks about things that he would like to do when he is older and I always tell him that he will be great at anything he chooses. I know that Pierce will go far in life and I am lucky that I get to be beside him on the journey!

ps. I couldn't find a picture to SHOW how smart his is, so I picked one from when he was in Greece because he is smart with Greek History!

4. His Love.

His love for his family is amazing, it was one of the first things that attracted me to him and as we've been engaged and married, his love has extended into my family. He is the light and humor in a hard time for my family and I know that he wouldn't have to do the things he does for my family, but that he does because he honestly loves them like his own family.

5. Tall and Strong.

Here is a picture just to show you that I am much shorter than Pierce....But I love it! I like that he can wrap his arms around me tight and that he is much taller than me. It makes me feel safe and loved and that's something that I think every girl would like her prince charming to be!

Anyway, Pierce I love you and hope you know that!!

{My Wife}

I have never really done the whole blog thing. Never thought that it was the "manly" thing to do. In fact, I have give Karissa quite the hard time about how lame blogging is. I always thought that if you wanted to tell someone something, rather than blog about it, tell them to their face. I am learning that there are multiple ways to express one's feelings for another. I wanted to let my wife know, through blogging, my five favorite things about her.
1. Her smile.

Some people have said that I might be a funny guy. Whether this is a true statement or not is for your judgement. There is not a better feeling in the world than making someone laugh. For me, there is not a better feeling than making Karissa laugh so that I get to see this smile. I mean really, look at it. Karissa, I promise to make you laugh everyday. I promise to never make you cry unless you are crying laughing.

2. Her Testimony

Now, some of you are probably throwing rocks yelling "crucify him!" for how corny this sounds. However, I remember the night that I met Karissa. Some of you might not know this but I was kind of dating someone already the night I met her. My best friend Ben and I came and tried to liven the party up with our corky and sexual euphemisms; however, after each one of my comments I had to explain the meaning of each and every joke. Still, she struggled to gain the perverse jokes. I loved it. She reminded me what it means to be good.

3. Her butt.

It was alot harder to find a picture of her bum but here you go. Now, for all the single guys out there reading this {none of you, unless you like men}, here is a piece of advice. Tell your girl-toy that you are attracted to her. It will help you. Karissa, I love your butt. You are attractive, hehe. I love everything about my wife. She is the sexiest and sassiest girl ever.

4. She is smart.

I have never dated anyone as smart as Karissa. From killing me in grades, to mutilating me in every board game, I have the smartest wife. She reads a book a week, studies till she bleeds, and refuses to lose. It makes me happy that I married someone who constantly keeps me on my toes. She makes me strive to gain a higher education so that I can join her at her level.

5. She loves me for me.

My wife completes me. She fills in ALL my gaps. She is my partner in life and in crime. I have never laughed so hard with anyone. She is my Luigi. My Meridith. My Ginny. My Fiona. My Bella. My everything. I married my best friend.

{Don't Stop BelBIEBEin'....}

A few weeks ago, I took my sister to the Justin Bieber Concert! I actually do like his songs so I was just as excited to go along :) We started out with going to din din at one of our favorite places ZUPAS! Then we headed to the Maverick Center (E center) to start on our Beiber Adventure!

Here is us outside of the Maverick Center:

We ended up with really good seats. We also ran into some fellow Belbieber Fans that Bree plays soccer with! Here she is with her friends Maddi, Syd and Shay!

The concert started with some ok opening acts, we hadn't heard of any of them so we weren't super excited about them and then the other opening act was Sean Kingston!! I couldn't get the video of Sean Kingston to load for some reason so I will have to look into it!

Then time for JUSTIN!!!!! He was really good and sang all the songs that I knew (plus ALL the ones that my sister knows hahaha). He came out into the crowd on a bunch of different metal things, like a heart in one song and an egg in another. It was a pretty fun concert and I am glad I got to spend it with my little sister who I love so much!

I think it's safe to say that we have BIEBER FEVER!
