{life as a preggers: week 34}

All my pregnancy posts are starting to become a lesser priority as we have busy weeks and I have less energy. Did anyone else feel like your energy levels plummeted in the last few weeks-- maybe it's preparing me to have a newborn and be tired, no? Anyway this week was super jam packed and fun but Saturday and Sunday all I wanted to do was nap!

We had 2 lacrosse games for Pierce's team this week. They played Bingham on Tuesday and lost by 3, the only loss for them this whole season. Bummer. However, it might work to their advantage in the playoffs, we will still have to see. Friday, they had their first playoff game up in Park City against Skyline- they won like 13-6 I believe. It was a great game and now they are playing Park City at Juan Diego on Tuesday this week. Can't wait!

Wednesday was Pierce's birthday, which I posted about already. As you can tell, he was super busy last week and I hardly even saw him on his birthday. It's ok though, once Lacrosse is done, he will be around more and I can get my time in :)

Thursday, Pierce's Lacrosse Team put on a team dinner/shower for Pierce, Emmett and I. I really like all the girls on his team and their moms are all awesome so it was pretty fun!! Here is a picture of the adorable and delicious cookies that someone made for them!

The team got us our super cool ExerSaucer. I love it! Also, they got Emmett a lacrosse stick and some fun clothes.

Friday, like I said, we had a lacrosse game. But Pierce gave me my mother's day gift early (he hates waiting to give things lol), this beautiful diamond pendant! My first mother's day, even though Emmett technically isn't here quite yet! I love it and he got one that mimics my wedding ring so that when my hands aren't as chubby, I can wear both! He also got me gifts from "Jack and Izzy"-- some books that I am looking forward to starting!

Saturday, we went over to my mom's house and saw my sister go to Prom. She looked great and her date looked awesome as well. I know they had a fun time!

Sunday, Pierce surprised me with breakfast in bed (chocolate chip waffles and eggs) and then later that night rubbed my back and feet for me. What a great guy!

So as you can see this week was BUSY- so fun but BUSY. We don't slow down for the next week or so either, so Emmett, June 15th is sounding ok with mommy at this point!

{Happy 24th Birthday Pierce}

May 9th was Pierce's birthday, he is now the big 24!!

I think he had a pretty good birthday- It was really hard for me to plan a big day because we've been going 20 different directions at 30 mph. The week leading up to his birthday he got from me: a Real jacket, a video game, shirts, shoes & some bath salts- he picked out 99% of those, but hey- as long as he likes it!!

His parents got him some much needed suits for church and when we bless Emmett. His mom also found this hilarious "diaper bag" that looks like a tool bag and says "Daddy's Little Project". So funny.

Pierce had to work the day of birthday so I made him some breakfast and then he left for work. His dad and uncle took him out to lunch for his birthday so that was really fun for him!

Then he had Lacrosse practice-- so I took his team some cookies and then the Team Mom brought a huge chocolate cake with 24 candles and all the girls sang to him. He was a little embarrassed I think!

We then went out to dinner at Bonsai with Jeff and Liz and that was really good food and always fun with those two!

 My goof ball! He doesn't like people singing so of course we rang a gong and sang really loudly!!

Throughout the day, he got calls and texts from family, siblings and friends wishing him a happy day and I know it meant a lot to him!

To my Birthday Boy:

I love you. Everything about you. You deserve a great birthday and many more to come. Thank you for being such a great friend and husband to me. Thank you for being patient and understanding. Thank you for choosing me and I can't wait to celebrate an eternity of birthdays with you!

Love,

Wifey

{Lacrosse So Far...}

So this is Pierce's second year coaching as the Head Varsity Coach for Jordan High. His team is doing awesome this season and haven't lost a pre-season or tournament game. We hope that his team will take state this year, especially because we don't know yet if this will be his last year coaching. I really enjoyed going down to Vegas a few weekends ago for a tournament for them and here are a few pictures I captured with my fancy camera!

Can't wait for all the upcoming games.....Go Diggers!

{vegas catch-up}

So I thought that since I didn't do a post when we went down to Vegas for Pierce's Lacrosse Tournament(mainly because it was super busy and I didn't have my camera), I would share some pictures that I stole from the internet that shows how sweet our hotel was:

The Red Rock Hotel and Casino....

Some smaller pictures of the bathroom...

They had a TV in front of the bathtub (Pierce's dream! That boy likes bath time!!)

This is the bedroom...it was decorated so cool! Except I got up in the night to go potty and ran into that bench lol...wasn't my finest moment!

Although this is a professional picture, it was basically our view at night! So sweet!

THE ACTUAL TOURNAMENT:

Pierce's team did pretty well! They won 2 and lost 2 and since they have been home starting their actual games, they have been winning like none other!! They had another tournament here in Utah that Pierce was asked to be the Co-Director of it and he put a lot of hard work into it and it was a huge success! His team lost in semi-finals in a tie (I know I am learning LAX too) but I am proud of my hubby the coach and hope that his team kicks butt this year!

October 27, 2010

{It's been almost 2 months}

So it’s been almost 2 months since I have blogged! I promised myself that I would be getting better at it but I have once again failed. Oh well!! Off to a fresh start.
We haven’t had much going on in our lives even though I constantly feel like we are busy!! September and October consisted of going to work and school and on the weekends going to Real Salt Lake games! We love going to them, Real has been doing really well this season and we are hoping they will be in the MLS cup again!!

School has been going well for both of us, we just ended fall break a couple weeks ago and although it wasn’t fun coming back to 3 midterms…. The break was much needed. Sleeping in is always a favorite thing with us Walkers!

At the beginning of October, Pierce had to run lacrosse try-outs for his girls’ high school team he will be now coaching. It was a tough week preparing and it really stressed Pierce out but all-in-all Pierce is really excited about all the talent on his Varsity team!! We will be starting conditioning in January…BRRR!

This last week was Pierce’s dad’s, Jeff, Birthday! We’ve been planning for months a surprise party with some of his close friends. We had to conjure up story after story, lie after lie, but it was ALL worth it! He had no idea and it was great to have Chelsea, Ava, Melisa, Locke and Cade come from Michigan and Washington for the event!

Friday night before the party, Cade and Melisa drove in with my little nephew Locke. The plan was to go up to Park City to stay with my dad so that we could stay under cover…But before we could do that, we HAD to go to my sister’s State Cup game for High School Soccer! They ended up winning 1-0 in DOUBLE overtime. I was a ball of nervous the whole game but the Bengals pulled it off. I think even Cade and Mel enjoyed themselves. Although my sister didn’t play because she has recently hurt her ankle, it is healing and she will be able to play club season coming up!

After the game we went up to Park City and ate pizza and watched a movie with my dad. It was great to see him and spend some time with him! We love staying in Park City and will have to try and visit him more often!

Saturday morning, we packed up our over-night stuff and headed to the Tanger Outlet Mall….we walked around until it started pouring and then Pierce and I headed back down to Sandy with Cade and Mel shortly behind us.

When we got back into Sandy, we did a crazy thing! So as you all know, we love our puppy Jack. One day, Jack came up to us and explained how BORED he was at home by himself some days and that he really NEEDED a friend. We kept ignoring him until we met this little lady:

Izzy! we got her from the same breeder as Jack and She is actually Jack’s sister! Both born May 3rd! We love little Izzy and it’s been so much fun having Jack run around with his little sister. She is white with light brown around the eyes and tail. She desperately needs a haircut so I will post pictures when she gets one!

I bought Izzy and Jack little matching sweatshirts in blue and pink. And we got Izzy a cute little pink collar with diamonds. Needless to say these puppies are spoiled!

Saturday night we headed down to the Lion House and set up for the party! The centerpieces looked amazing thanks to Melisa. Chase and Helen put together a slideshow and Chelsea’s hard work was through the secret invitations! The party was a hit and we filled all the tables :)

Here are a few pictures of the party:

Here is the programs that I did for the party, pretty snazzy if I do say so myself!

And my husband did a fabulous job as the "MC" for the night!

Sunday night we had Birthday dinner at Pierce’s parents’ house for Jeff. Gram and Pop (Jeff’s Parents) Aunt Michelle, Uncle Jory and Pierce’s cousins/friends Corbin and Nate all came as well! It was going to be a perfect evening UNTIL the lights went out at the house right before we were going to start eating! Needless to say, dinner by candle-light was a pretty fun way to have a 50th birthday celebration and I think Jeff got some great gifts!

Monday night, we had the annual Walker Pumpkin Carving Competition at Jeff and Liz’s house. The competition was fierce and tough but hey, I got 3rd place! (Thanks Travis!) Pierce did the Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas and totally shaved the pumpkin so it looked white like Jack does. It was awesome!! I did witch’s legs and added ribbon and glitter (Thanks Mel!). Mine didn’t light up but I am really happy with it!

Hope everyone has a great week!
