{flower power}

So for my best friend Marie's bridal shower next week, I have been busily planning and scheming away to make it a great party!! I want to go into event planning but obviously I am on a tight budget, Pierce's mom was even so great to lend me her house and help out with some things!! Anyway I have these silver candlesticks (not pictured) BUT I saw this great flower/pom pom idea from here. I knew I wanted to try it but I was nervous that it wouldn't work out the same for me but I think it was a success! I used just 4 sheets of tissue paper and cut similar size squares as the tutorial; the tissue paper was $0.99 from Target. Sorry the pictures are horrible, the dogs got to the SD card and I took these with my phone! I can't wait to display them at the shower!

{coming soon}

That's right, I am starting ANOTHER blog....and hopefully my blogging skills won't lack as much on that one as it does on the others. But it will feature some of this:

And some of this:

That's right. A blog of all things crafty! We will be posting things you can buy personalized or DIY kits. Sharing some freebies and giveaways and of course sharing crafty ideas that we can't get enough of! And when I say we- I am talking for my mother and I. She is a little computer handi though so I will be the official blogger!

{so I do think I am crafty}

So it's been awhile since I've posted anything but it's mainly because I am really good at stalking other's blogs but not really thinking my life is interesting. I am trying to take more and more pictures as Pierce and I do things, because in the end, I will want to remember this time in our lives as newlyweds!

Anyway, I have always loved crafting and making things and decorating....Since we've been married I have done a few crafts here and there, but it's hard with going to school full time and working 24 hours a week! Anyway, I finally made some cute crafts that I thought I would share...(I am not even sure who checks this thing anyway anymore).

So I thought of this "home" craft and got wood for every month of the year as the "o" that I will decorate and display....I've got a snowflake for January but a piece broke off so I just changed it to Feb. already! Anyway, I will now without fail have something to post once a month! I just sanded and painted the wood and then painted them-- the red sparkly is some paint I found at Robert's crafts for about $2.00! I think it was worth it!

Next craft is this cute funky heart that I've hung outside our front door. Again, I purchased the wood from a lady who my mom bunco's with! They sell it at whole sale and some of the crafts are to freaking die for! I sanded these and painted them some fun pink, then I added some black wire to hang it and some black and white polka-dot-ribbon! It's pretty cute in my opinion- I hope the pictures do it justice!

Sorry it wouldn't rotate for me for some odd reason.... (guess I need to figure out how to rotate on blogger-- please let me know if you know how!)

I am also going to be selling some signs and different craft projects- that's in the works, hopefully to have up by beginning of March! So you can place orders then!

Have a great weekend!

{Christmas at our house}

Well it’s that time of year again! Christmas time is one of the only holidays that Pierce thoroughly enjoys. Soooo on November 3rd yes, you read that correctly 3rd, starting buying and setting up our Christmas decorations and getting in the holiday season. So here are a few pictures of what we have so far, I hope you enjoy them!

{the tree} We decided to go with the classic red and green.

Santa's workshop was our theme.

Santas, sleighs, reindeer, bells- you name it!

Our Santa to go on top of the tree!

Here you can see the red ribbon with white pom poms! And my favorite part the "Ho Ho Ho" sign that we put down the front of it.

{Around the House}

This cute little Santa sign we found from TJMAX for a great deal!

Our Advent Calendar that Pierce's mom bought for us! And the candle holder and candle from Tai Pan!

Liz also bought us this little Santa door knob, the puppies love it!

I love this sign, the snowflakes on the top make it soo cute!

Liz also bought all the Walkers these cute signs as well! And I love that they all match our Red and Green theme!

Here are the stockings we ordered offline and they turned out super great!

Also, Liz got this great stocking holder from her neighbor Becky Williams.

Up in my kitchen you will find this, my holiday baking cookbook and Mr. Bobble Santa, he is super glittery and super fabulous!

Last thing in my kitchen is this is my cute kitchen towel I found at Wal-Mart for $3.00!

Lastly, Pierce is in love with villages so we made a deal to buy one building a year and he can slowly collect them. This year he picked the Toy Store! So cute!

Anyway, we hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season and enjoys decorating their own houses!

{Look at my talented Mother!!}

So I found all these photos in my long-lost saved folder in my email and I thought I would share them with everyone to show my mom off a little bit!! She has started doing these wedding sign in books for some friends of our family. My long-time friend Marci Brooks helps her with these and they've done a total of 6 or 7 books now. They are so cute and I am for sure going to have this at my wedding reception!! I have helped do a few pages here and there because I love when they do this-- And I like to give my mom page ideas since she thinks I am so creative! haha. Enjoy!
