We had such a busy weekend but it was so fun!! On Friday, it was my littlest brother's birthday! He turned 12 and will be receiving the priesthood in a few weeks. For his birthday, we went to a Japanese restaurant called FIJI, it's like Bonsai or Teppanyaki...if you've ever been to one of those places!! They cook the food right in front of you and the chef's do little performances… The food was really great and the price was awesome compared to the other places!
After dinner, Anthony invited some friends over to Pierce’s house to play games, watch a movie and have cake!! We played Curses and then watched the movie Rat Race…. Haven’t seen it in a while, so it was pretty funny!
Saturday was a busy day, Pierce and I went apartment hunting and I think we found the place!! It’s called The Falls, it’s on State Street and 11251 south.
Here is a link to forrent.com that you can see some pictures:

It’s pretty nice and we love that it has a workout room, basketball, racquetball and tennis courts!! We will love swimming at the pool and inviting guests to come see our new place!!
It also was really cool that when we talked to the manager about renting there, she said that because we took a free tour of the apartment complex, we would get 2 free tickets to the opening REAL SALT LAKE GAME on april 10th and 2 free t-shirts! We had no clue and it was awesome to get a free date night surprise!!
Saturday, also we made a big leap towards starting our lives together….we bought our first piece of furniture as a couple!!! It’s a gorgeous brown leather ottoman for our living room. We got a great deal on the ottoman just because Pierce asked if there was any sale that day on it…and the manager gave us 20% off! Awesome!
That night, we bought a new game to play…Monopoly- but we use credit cards instead of all the paper money, man it makes the game a lot less messy and pretty fun! We bought the world edition so all the places you can buy were all over the world and the hotels and houses were custom made to each continent…an asian inspired house, or an Aussie hotel…you get the idea!! We had pizza and watched Bruce Almighty but not before treating ourselves to some Frogurt….man life is good!!
Sunday, Pierce and I went to church and Pierce taught the lesson for his parents while they are in Vietnam. He is such an awesome teacher and I even learn things from what he tells these 14 year olds…I love my fiancĂ©!! We came home from church and hung out until we invited some friends over to Pierce’s to play Smart Ass, this really fun trivia game that we love! Pierce won- with a mix of cheating and smarts haha, just kidding Pierce!
Anyway our weekend was overall just great! We are so excited to get married and spend every weekend for the rest of our lives together!!

The apartment looks great. I'm glad you guys were able to find a place that you like. And furniture taboot! I'm always a bit surprised at how spiritual Pierce is. I dunno why. But I always end up learning something from him as well. Like the ottoman too!
Sounds like you guys had a fun weekend....to bad we weren't able to get together for games. Maybe one day we will find a day that works for everyone. Hope to see you soon!
K those apartments look so nice!!! That would be an awesome place to live. Also I'm so glad you've heard of Smart Ass. It's so much fun to play!
