{Jack here}

Hey everyone this is Jack! I have stolen mommy's laptop to update you on mommy, daddy and of course my life as of late (mainly mine)…. So summer is over and that means that mommy and daddy have started school; most days of the week, mommy takes me over to Grandma Cheri’s house to play with these two little friends:

Dodger and Oliver.

Boy they are lots of fun! Dodger (the other shih tzu) is a little afraid of me, because I am so tough but Oliver (cream doggie) will chase and play with me for hours. I always come home from their house and crash on the cold tile or hardwood in our house!

Other than that, I am still just being lovable, cuddly and hyper Jack!

Here are some fun pictures to admire of me :)
Me sleeping next to some shoes....they didn't even stink!
Mommy always said brushing your teeth was important- this would make her proud!
Although in this picture it doesn't show it, I LOVE taking baths and showers!

Chase and Helen have moved close to mommy and daddy so I have been to their house and let me tell you….(to mommy’s horror) I have left my mark in their place, if you know what I mean!! They just got a kitty and I haven’t met him yet, but I am sure it will be soon.

Ava and Chelsea and Travis left far away to Michigan, and although I miss Ava chasing me around- she has gotten new kitty friends to play with!

Locke, Cade and Mel also got a new puppy up in Washington! Maybe during Christmas time I can meet Marla!

Here are some of my puppy pictures of when mommy and daddy just bought me and I was small—man have I grown up and just keep getting bigger! Aren’t I the cutest thing ever!?!

Hope you all have a good week!

{Bengals and Birthdays}

So I decided that I would do some shout outs to some very important people in my life….first goes to my little sister Bree! She is the most talented girl I know and recently made Brighton High School’s soccer team as a freshman. Bree was really nervous since she took a year break from soccer but she obviously still has it….she scored the very first goal of the season for her team! The Bengals are off to a great start and I can’t wait to keep cheering her on in this exciting thing! Here are just some goofy pictures she took with her friends and then here is an action shot that my cousin got of her a few years ago since I don’t have any with her Brighton gear on. Gooooo Bengals!

Next up is birthday shout outs!

First goes to my incredible dad whose birthday was on August 25th! This year he turned 50, I can’t even believe it. He was on a business trip in Denver on the day but we celebrated on Sunday at my grandparent’s house and my grandma made all his favorites—really good :) We gave him a BYU lawn chair for his birthday so he can sit in them while at soccer games for Bree and Anthony! Here are some things that I love about my dad:
1. He is funny…although at times, we are laughing AT him and not necessarily WITH him, he is still pretty funny.
2. He is stylish and in a band-- I think that’s pretty cool to say that my dad is a guitar player in a band…even if it is with some older folks ;)
3. Hard working- my dad really is a hard worker…when I was little I remember him running a company, and doing taxes on the side to earn some extra money and I think that is a great talent to have.
4. Easy to talk to – it’s sometimes scary having to talk to Dads about certain things growing up, but no matter how scared I was to talk to him about things, he was always funny and understanding and gives great advice!

Happy 50th Daddy! We love you :)

Next, is my beautiful mother! Her birthday is this Friday and she is turning….well she is still young and kicking. I love my mom, she is such a great friend to me and here are some things I love about her:

1. She is a “cool mom” – when I was in middle and high school, all my friends always wanted to hang out or sleep over at my house just because my mom was one of the moms who all my friends could talk to and relate with and she was never judgmental. She loves shopping and is very in style and I know that a lot of my friends probably couldn’t say that about their moms! I always want to borrow shirts or jewelry from my mom so I think this for sure makes her a cool mom.
2. She is crafty—my mom can sew, scrapbook and that is something that I admire. I really love how giving she is of her talents and will always make Halloween costumes or make a wedding album. She puts a lot of time and effort into her hobbies and I love that!
3. She is a great friend – she is always texting, going to lunches with friends, going on vacations or just planning a good old game night with friends! I know that all her friends love her company because she is a really outgoing and fun person to hang out with. I can say that I enjoy doing all of the above with my mom; she is one of my best friends!

4.She is giving—sometimes a little too giving…instead of selling something or needing something for herself, my mom would just give it away to deserving people and then pay for it or go buy another one. I tease her about this at times, but it is a good quality to have.

Mom, I love you and wish you a happy birthday and many more to come!
